Women worldwide are facing several health issues, impacting a woman’s life at different stages. In many societies, women are disadvantaged by discrimination that is deeply rooted in sociocultural factors. Gender, ethnicity, and socioeconomic factors actively plays role in preventing a woman to benefit from quality health services and medical care. Health equity in every community can address this crisis in women’s health. Health equity promotes that women deserve the care they need, irrespective of their gender, ethnicity, geographic location, and respective socioeconomic status.

Globally, nearly 810 women die daily due to pregnancy and childbirth complications - typically from preventable/treatable causes. This issue majorly impacts low-income countries and also threats women in developing as well as developed nations. The size of the problem, the available solutions that directly or indirectly address issues related to maternal mortality, the solutions that are in the development stage, the unmet need identification, and the companies to watch in this segment have been studied for maternal mortality.
