  • What are the Future Growth Prospects for the APAC Video Conferencing Devices Sector?
Market size and market share tracker

    Research Overview

2021 marked the beginning of the revival of meeting rooms and office spaces. As businesses prepare for the return to office, meeting rooms have seen growing technology investments to support hybrid work. Despite the headwinds from the impact of supply chain issues and component shortages which have triggered uneven sales cycles throughout 2021, the market is being driven by the long-term, sustainable impact of distributed and hybrid work. The panic buying of 2020 is being replaced by ongoing standardization and optimization by IT to ensure centralized monitoring and management for reasons related to control, compliance and UX.

Frost & Sullivan anticipates that 2022 would be volatile due to certain APAC countries' phased return-to-office approach and rising geopolitical tensions between the US and China. Furthermore, there is growing doubt about whether do-it-yourself (DIY) bring-your-own-device (BYOD) USB video deployments would provide a consistent and optimal video conferencing experience. There is a greater emphasis on adopting the best-fitting technology, which leads to uncertainty in device forecasts. Video deployments by China’s state-owned enterprises are also expected to see a slowdown owing to the tough economic conditions. Video device demand is expected to become more consistent from 2023 and beyond.
